Understanding Emerging Adults:
15 Essays Coming in Spring 2010
The Life Cycle Institute is pleased to annount the selection of fifteen proposals for reader-friendly syntheses of recent research on key topics on contemporary young adults (i.e., emerging adults ages 18-29). Click on the link above to read more about each topic selected.
The first of the papers will be published in spring 2010 and will be part of a web-based forum, oriented primarily towards a non-specialist readership of Christian ministry practitioners interested in understanding the lives of emerging adults today, but also of potential interest to higher education and social science readers in general.
Studies of Successful Congregations Launched
Beginning in October 2009, seven Research Fellows will be studying churches which are effectively attracting and engaging emerging adults. Their research covers mainline Protestant, conservative Protestant, African American, Roman Catholic, and emerging churches in various regions of the country.

Reports will be published beginning November 2010.
